(Oral) The jurisdiction of this Court under Section 483 of BNSS has been invoked for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.140 dated 05.10.2023 under Section 376 and 506 of IPC and Section 4 of POCSO Act, registered at Police Station Meharban, District Ludhiana. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and is not named in the FIR. The only allegation against the petitioner is that she is the wife of the main accused.

Per contra, learned State counsel has vehemently opposed the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. He has filed custody KAVITA NAIN 2025.04.30 14:42 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document order/judgment

CRM-M-46324-2024(O&M) - 2certificate in Court today and the same is taken on record. He on instructions submits that out of a total of 21 prosecution witnesses, all have been examined and now the case is fixed for 07.05.2025 for defence witnesses. It is further submitted that the trial is at its final stage.

Considering the fact that the trial is at its fag end, this Court does not deem it appropriate to interfere at this stage, and accordingly, the present petition stands dismissed.

However, the learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously.
