***** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, interalia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari quashing inquiry report dated 03.08.2021 (Annexure P-4) and suspension order dated 04.10.2022 (Annexure P-5), whereby petitioner who is working as Deputy Director, Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Department, Haryana has been placed under suspension.

Departmental proceedings are still at a very nascent stage and the defense taken in the petition herein cannot be gone into under extra ordinary writ jurisdiction at this stage. However, since the alleged incident took place almost 5 years ago, which has culminated into suspension of the petitioner as recently as on 04.10.2022, the petition is disposed of with the expectation from the respondents that further comtemplated action, if any, would be taken as expeditiously as possible. Needless to say, since the petition is being disposed of as premature, no merits are being dealt with and, the petitioner shall be at liberty to take inter alia the defense, as taken herein, at the appropriate stage before the competent authority who shall look into the same and take further action, in accordance with law.
