Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondent No.4, who had earlier given severe beatings to the petitioner along with his accomplices with sword and danda and because of which FIR No.47, dated 13.07.2023, Annexure P-1, was registered under Sections 307, 323, 341, 324, 506 and 34 IPC at Police Station City Raikot, Ludhiana, but upon grant of bail respondent No.4 is threatening the petitioner with dire consequences and pressurizing him to take the above-said case back. It is further prayed to direct respondents No.2 and 3 to not allow respondent No.4 to interfere with life and personal liberty of the petitioner and restrain respondent No.

4 from causing any physical harm to the petitioner or to harass the petitioner against his wishes or cause any detriment to the petitioner. It is further prayed to MEENU 2024.09.13 16:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document direct respondent No.

CRWP-8932-2024 -230.07.2024, Annexure P-3, served by the petitioner in a time bound manner in accordance with law and take appropriate and legal action against respondent No.4.

On asking of the Court, Mr.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr.DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State and has submitted that FIR has already been lodged. 4.

Without entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, I dispose of the petition with a direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, District Ludhiana, to look into the representation (Annexure P-3) of the petitioner and decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from today and grant him protection, if any threat to his life and liberty is perceived.
