Petitioner Paramjit Kaur has filed petition under Section 482  ,"-'!# *#" "$

. for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.46 dated 27.03.2024, under Section 21(c) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (Section 25 and 29 of NDPS Act were added later on), registered at Police Station Sadar Ferozepur, District Ferozepur. 2.

As per facts of the case, on 27.03.2024 SI Gurmej Singh along with police party was going on government vehicle Mahindra Bolero in connection with checking of suspicious persons. When they held naka at Kille Wala Chowk, Border Road, Police Station Sadar Ferozepur where they saw one person coming on motorcycle Hero HF Deluxe Black Colour who on seeing the police party slow down and tried to turn back. He was apprehended on the basis of suspicion. He disclosed his name as William son of Baldev and on his search 320 grams of heroin was recovered.        investigation it was revealed that motorcycle used by him was owned by his maternal aunt and on that basis present petitioner is arrayed as accused. 3.

Learned counsel for petitioner argued that arrest of petitioner was stayed vide order dated 16.09.2024 and she has already joined the investigation. No recovery is effected from her. She is ready to abide by the terms of bail order. Therefore, her anticipatory bail petition may be allowed. 4.

I have considered the aforesaid arguments and have gone through the record. It is not disputed that present petitioner has joined investigation. '&- 3" "&0&  -". Therefore, no purpose would be served by sending the petitioner behind the bars. Accordingly, anticipatory bail petition filed by petitioner -Paramjit Kaur is allowed. She be not arrested. In case of her arrest, she be released on bail to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer concerned, subject to condition that petitioner will join investigation as and when required. She will not tamper with or interfere with investigation and will not leave country without prior permission as provided under Section 482(2) of BNSS. 6.

Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, stand disposed of accordingly as well.
