CRM-1502 of 2022 Vide this application, the petitioner in the accompanying petition seeks to place on record a compromise deed dated 04.01.2022, stated to be effected between the petitioner and respondent no.2 in the accompanying petition. Notice in the application.

 On 24.01.2022 the following order had been passed by this court (coordinate Bench):- "The petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in the case bearing FIR No.73 dated 01.10.2021, under Sections 498-A/406 IPC, registered at Police Station Jhander, District Amritsar. Learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned counsel for the complainant have stated that the matrimonial dispute has been amicably settled in terms of compromise as Annexure P-4 and a petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act for dissolution of marriage by mutual consent has also been instituted. Learned State counsel seeks time to verify this aspect of the matter.

Adjourned to 07.02.2022.

Meanwhile, it is directed that in the event of arrest, the petitioner be admitted on interim bail on furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer subject to the condition that he join the investigation and comply with other conditions as specified under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C."

Today learned State counsel submits, on instructions, that the petitioner has joined investigation, with learned counsel for the complainant again appearing today (as he did on 24.01.2022) and again reiterating that the matter indeed stands compromised between the parties.

-3That being so, the petition is allowed, with the order dated 24.01.2022 made absolute.
