Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter-alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant seniority to the petitioners from the date of their initial appointment.

At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioners submitted that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his clients would be satisfied in case the legal notice dated 10.09.2021 (P-3) is decided expeditiously by the competent authority while keeping in view the service Rules.

Notice of motion to that limited extent.

Ms. Maloo Chahal, DAG, Punjab, who is present through Video-Conference, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioners.
