***** HARI PAL VERMA, J. (Oral) Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.0024 dated 24.07.2019 under Sections 323, 406, 498-A, 506 IPC registered at Women Police Station Naraingarh, District Ambala.

Vide order dated 04.10.2019, while staying the arrest of the petitioner, the case was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court and the parties were directed to appear before the mediator on 22.10.2019. Pursuant thereto, report dated 14.01.2020 of the mediator has ASHWANI KUMAR 2020.02.06 10:04 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Criminal Misc. No. M-42925 of 2019 -2been received, wherein it has been reported that the matter has been settled between the parties by way of amicable settlement. The report is accompanied with settlement/agreement dated 14.01.2020, which is taken on record.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the fact that the matter has been resolved between the parties, the order dated 04.10.2019, whereby the arrest of the petitioner was stayed, needs to be made absolute.

However, at this stage, State counsel, on instructions from ASI Anita, submits that since the matter has been compromised between the parties, the police has prepared cancellation report in the case. In view of the aforesaid development, when the matter has been compromised between the parties and the police has already prepared cancellation report, the order dated 04.10.2019, whereby the arrest of the petitioner was stayed, is made absolute.
