The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to the respondents to depute them for Lower School Course. 2.

The petitioners are Constables/Senior Constables and they are posted at In Service Training Centre, Kapurthala as Drill Instructors. They claim that respondent has deputed Drill Instructors posted at Phillaur, Jahankhelan and Bahadargarh, however, despite being similarly situated they are denied Promotional Course. They have served legal notice dated 30.04.2024 (Annexure P-7) but to no avail. 3.

The DGP, PAP, Jalandhar has requested the DGP, Punjab to consider case of petitioners at par with similarly situated employees, however, a period of 03 years has passed away still respondent is not deputing petitioners for Lower School Course.
