[1] Due to COVID-19 situation, the Court is convened through video conference.
[2] This petition was filed for issuance of directions to the official respondents No.1 to 3 for protection of life and liberty of the petitioners from the private respondents arrayed in the petition. [3] As per the pleadings, the petitioners had performed marriage against the wishes of their parents and there was a threat perception.
[4] On 23rd December, 2021, following order was passed:- "Due to COVID-19 situation, the Court is convened through video conference.
Notice of motion to respondents No.1 to 3 only at this stage.

In the meantime, the police officials not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police should record the statements of the petitioners.
In case a request is made by the petitioners, they may be provided shelter in safe house till the next date." [5] Learned State counsel has sent through electronic medium affidavits of petitioners and father of petitioner No.1, same are taken on record. It is stated in the affidavit of petitioners that there is no need of police protection as there is no threat perception. [6] In view of affidavits filed, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no cause of action survives for pursing the present petition.
[7] Disposed of as infructuous.
