(ORAL) The petitioner alleges willful disobedience of the order dated 17.09.2024 (Annexure P-1) passed by Writ Court in CWP No.17857 of 2022 wherein the Writ Court observed as under :- "Present petition has been filed for issuance of directions to the respondents to pay the petitioner, an amount of compensation to the tune of Rs.50 Lacs on account of death of Karan Singh, son of the petitioners, who died due to electrocution while coming into contact with 11 KV electric wire.

Similar matters came up for consideration before this Court in CWP-11626-2023 titled as "Paramjeet Singh Vs. Punjab State Corporation Limited and another" and were disposed of vide order dated 15.12.2023.

Learned counsel for respondents states that the petition may be disposed of in terms of Paramjeet Singh's case (supra).

Disposed of in terms of CWP-11626-2023 (Paramjeet Singh Vs. Punjab State Power Corporation Limited and another) decided on 15.12.2023."

Judgment rendered by this Court in Paramjeet Singh's case supra has been appended to the contempt petition as Annexure P-2. Operative part thereof reads as under :- "Counsel for the parties are ad-idem that the petitions may be disposed of at this stage with liberty to the petitioners to approach the respondents-PSPCL for consideration of their claims for compensation in terms of the aforesaid policy. Counsel for the respondents-PSPCL as well as the learned State Counsel have no objection to the same.

Accordingly, in view of the above policy and with consent of the parties and without commenting anything on the merits of the case(s), the present petitions are disposed of with a direction to the petitioner(s) to approach the respondent-Authorities for seeking compensation in terms of the aforesaid policy, alongwith necessary documents prescribed thereunder, if any.

In the event of the petitioners approaching the respondentsAuthorities for seeking claim/compensation in terms of the aforesaid policy, the same shall be considered and decided expeditiously and preferably within the time frame stipulated in the policy. The due compensation, if any, shall also be released within the prescribed time period."

Compliance affidavit of Punerdeep Singh Brar, Chief Engineer, D.S.West Zone, Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd., Bathinda on behalf of answering respondent has been filed. The same is taken on record. Along with the affidavit speaking order dated 22.11.2024 (Annexure R-2/1) has been filed. As per the speaking order the claim of the

petitioner has been adjudicated in compliance of the directions issued by Writ Court in CWP No.17857 of 2022 in the light of the policy decision taken by PSPCL.

In view of the speaking order dated 22.11.2024 (Annexure R2/I), no further order is required to be passed in the present contempt petition. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to avail the appropriate remedy against the said order in accordance with law. Contempt petition stands disposed off.
