The present revision petition has been filed for issuance of directions to the Family Court concerned to expeditiously decide the petition pending before it under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. 2.

The limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that though the affidavit in examination-in-chief was tendered on 16.08.2023, however, since then the matter has repeatedly been adjourned for the cross-examination of the witnesses and till date only part crossexamination of one witness has been conducted. Hence, he prays that a direction may be issued to the Court concerned not to unnecessarily adjourn the matter and decide the same expeditiously. 3.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed off with a request to the Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Amritsar not to grant any unnecessary adjournments and to decide the matter expeditiously, in accordance with law.
