(Oral) Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the appellant submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant appeal. Learned counsel for the appellant has however, requested that the Family Court/Mediation Centre may be directed to refer the parties to some Mediator.

In view of the aforesaid request, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn. The Presiding Officer of the Family Court is requested to make efforts for effecting some compromise, if possible amongst the parties. After a brief interaction, the Presiding Officer may refer the parties to some seasoned Mediator at Mediation and Conciliation Centre of Sri Muktsar Sahib/camp Court at Malout.
