*** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for petitioner states that the petitioner had incurred a sum of `18,05,806/- on the medical treatment of his wife, who was a Government employee.

Counsel for the petitioner further states that the wife of the petitioner was suffering from Lung Cancer and for the said treatment, he had spent a total amount of `18,05,806/- for which his wife was entitled for reimbursement. Counsel for the petitioner further argues that though all the medical bills have been submitted for reimbursement, but the respondents have not taken any action to release the same. Counsel for the petitioner further states that unfortunately, wife of the petitioner died on 15.08.2019. CWP-29430-2019 -2reimbursement in respect of the medical bills in respect of the treatment of his wife, which the petitioner had submitted, forthwith. Counsel for the petitioner further states that at the time when the wife of the petitioner was alive, she being also entitled for the medical reimbursement, served the respondents a legal notice dated 11.07.2019 (Annexure P-7), which is still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioner will be satisfied in case time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said legal notice In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the legal notice dated 11.07.2019 (Annexure P-7) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case after the decision, it is found that the petitioner is entitled for any monetary benefit, the same shall also be released to him within a period of three months thereafter.

Present writ petition stands disposed of.
