Petitioner Gaurav Kumar has filed petition under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (earlier u/s 438 Cr.P.C.)for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.66 dated 26.07.2024 (Annexure P-1), under Section 498-A of IPC, registered at Police Station Chabbewal, District Hoshiarpur. 2.
As per facts of the case, Balwinder Kaur filed written complaint against her husband Gaurav Kumar and other members of in-laws family alleging that she got married with Gaurav Kumar on 05.08.2022. Her parents had given dowry as per their capacity. Her husband and in-laws family were unhappy with the dowry articles and for this reason, she was maltreated in the matrimonial home. Her husband suggested that since she has done course of Nursing, therefore, after clearing IELTS, they can go together to England. husband to arrange Rs.13 Lacs for settling abroad to which he refused. Maltreatment in the matrimonial home continued. Finally, she was turned out of the matrimonial home on 04.03.2024. Thereafter, the complaint was filed on the basis of which, present FIR has been registered. 3.
Learned counsel for petitioner pointed out that petitioner was granted interim bail vide order dated 16.09.2024. In pursuance of the order, he has already joined the investigation and not required for any other purpose. Therefore, interim bail already granted in his favour may kindly be confirmed.

Learned counsel representing State has filed status report, which is taken on record. In para No.6 of the status report, anticipatory bail petition is opposed. However, learned counsel representing State confirmed that petitioner has joined investigation on 05.10.2024 and he is not required for any other purpose.

Considering the aforesaid factual position, no purpose would be served by sending the petitioner behind the bars when he has already joined the investigation and he is still ready to abide by the terms of bail order. Therefore, interim bail already granted in favour of petitioner vide order dated 16.09.2024 stands confirmed subject to the conditions detailed under Section 482(2) BNSS. 6.
Petition is accordingly disposed of. 7.
Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, stand disposed of accordingly as well.
