The instant petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the service rendered by the petitioners as 'SPO' as qualifying service for the purpose of pensionary/retiral benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the case of the petitioners is squarely covered by various judgments of this Court including judgment rendered in CWP-9936-2017 titled as Sukhjeet Singh and others Vs. The State of Punjab and others.
