Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing respondent No.1 to give annual increment w.e.f. 01.01.2016 to the petitioner, before the refixation of his pay in the revised pay scales of 6th Punjab Pay Commission. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, confines his prayer for deciding representation dated 14.06.2024 (Annexure P-9). He submits that at this stage, petitioner would be satisfied, if the said representation is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to decide representation dated 14.06.2024 (Annexure P-9), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
