This is a petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondent Nos.4 to 9. 2.
Learned counsel states that the petitioners have filed a representation dated 03.08.2025 (Annexure P-3) requesting to provide adequate security to save their lives and they will be satisfied if the Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh i.e. respondent No.2 is directed to look into the representation dated 03.08.2025 (Annexure P-3), made to him by them and take appropriate action on the same. 3.
As per the averments made, both the petitioners are major and their dates of birth are 15.08.2004 and 08.06.1998, respectively. The copies of their Aadhaar Cards are appended as Annexures P-1 and P-2, respectively. They got married on 03.08.2025 and the copy of the marriage certificate is attached as Annexure P-4.

CRWP-8511-2025 on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3 and has no objection in deciding the representation filed on behalf of the petitioners. 6.
Without commenting on validity of the marriage allegedly performed by the petitioners with each other and entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, I dispose of this petition with direction to respondent No.2 to decide representation moved by the petitioners (Annexure P-3) within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and grant them protection, if there is any threat to their life and liberty. It is made clear that this order shall not be taken to protect the petitioners from legal action for violation of law, if any committed by them.
