**** Manjari Nehru Kaul, J.(Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.PC for issuance of directions to the official respondents to conduct fair and impartial investigation in FIR No.233 dated 04.08.2022 registered under Sections 21/61 of NDPS Act at Police Station Division No.7, Ludhiana from the Special Investigation Team.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has urged that the petitioner had been falsely implicated in the case in hand on account of political reasons and was not even remotely involved in the sale of narcotic substance.
On being put to notice, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana filed his reply by way of an affidavit dated 18.01.2023. While drawing the attention of this Court to the said reply, learned State counsel has submitted that a thorough inquiry was conducted wherein the petitioner too was joined, however, no substance was found in the allegations levelled by the petitioner. Resultantly, Addl. Deputy Commissioner Police Zone-4, Ludhiana recommended the filing of representation given by the petitioner. In view of the reply filed by Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, this Court does not find any ground to accept the prayer of the petitioner for issuance of directions as prayed for.
