Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondent(s) for issuing him appointment letter as per "Scheme for providing employment to the members of the effected Families, Scheme 1996".

At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from petitioner, submits that in view of the averments made in para-4 of reply dated 16.06.2022 filed by the State of Punjab, he does not want to pursue the present petition any further.

Disposed off accordingly.
