1. The instant petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the service rendered by the petitioners as 'SPOs' prior to their being absorbed as Constables on regular basis for the purpose of grant of seniority, increments etc.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage the petitioners would be satisfied in case the legal notice dated 28.04.2023 (Annexure P-10) MOHAN SINGH 2023.10.04 17:32 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-21663-2023 (O&M) ( 2 ) 2023:PHHC:128206 served by the petitioners is considered by the respondents in accordance with law.

3. Notice of motion.

4. Pursuant to service of advance notice, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of the respondents/State.

5. Having regard to the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners, but without commenting anything as regards the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority amongst the respondents to consider and dispose of legal notice date 28.04.2023 (Annexure P-10) in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of 4 months from today.

6. A copy of this order along with copy of legal notice dated 28.04.2023 be sent to respondent No.2-The Director General of Police, Pinjab, for necessary compliance.
