Learned counsel for the petitioner informs the Court that as per the status showing on the official website today, it is indicated that the file has been closed and no further processing will be done on the passport application. It is also notified to contact the Regional Passport Office for further queries.

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the petition to enable the petitioner to take appropriate steps as available in law. A perusal of the paper book reveals that the petitioner is facing trial in case FIR No.208 dated 10.12.2018 under Sections 498-A, 406 and 323 IPC, Police Station Patti, District Tarn Taran. Ms. Neha Sharma, Advocate, has put in appearance for the respondents as a copy of the petition was supplied to her in advance and submits that she has no objection to the petitioner taking recourse to the remedy provided in law.

Needless to observe that this order should not come in the way of the petitioner for seeking necessary permission from the concerned Court, in terms of the notification bearing No.G.S.R.570(E) dated 25.08.1993. Accordingly, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the concerned Court to avail remedy in terms of the afore-noticed statutory provisions, in accordance with law.
