**** SANJAY VASHISTH , J. (Oral) Members of the Bar are abstaining from work today. CRM-W-1508-2022 This is an application, under Rule 3(A)(i), Chapter 6, Part-B, Volume-V, of the High Court Rules and Orders, seeking leave to appear, act or plead before this Court.

For the reasons mentioned in the application, the same is allowed as prayed for.

CRWP-10408-2022 Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 & 3, to provide protection of life and liberty to the petitioners, who have married against the wishes of private respondents.

As per averments made in the present petition, petitioner No.1 - Simran @ Samreen, aged about 18 years and petitioner No.2 - Pawan Kumar, aged about 26 years, have got married on 06.08.2022, against the JAWALA RAM 2022.11.03 16:56 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP- 10408 -2022 (O&M) - 2 - wishes of their family members, arrayed as respondents No.4 to 6. It has been averred therein that the private respondents are threatening to interfere in the marital life of the petitioners. Hence, the petitioners are seeking protection in that regard and have approached this Court by way of filing the instant petition. They have also submitted a representation dated 29.10.2022 (Annexure P-6) to respondent No.2 - Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Nagar, wherein, they have expressed their apprehension. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Nagar, to look into the representation dated 29.10.

2022 (Annexure P-6) qua threat perception, if any, and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law, to ensure that the lives and liberty of the petitioners is not jeopardized at the hands of the private respondents. However, this direction will not validate the marriage said to have taken place between the parties and will have no effect on any civil or criminal action, which could be initiated in the matter in accordance with law.
