PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., is for quashing of the order dated 17.09.2022 and proceedings subsequent thereto.

The petitioner has been booked in case FIR No.261 dated 1st of September, 2021 registered for the offence punishable under Section 21(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station City Faridkot, District Faridkot, and is facing trial. He was admitted to bail on 22nd of September, 2021. However, absented himself from the proceedings on 17th of September, 2022 resulting in issuance of non-bailable warrants.

CRM-M-50826-2022 -2Having heard counsel for the parties, this Court is of the considered opinion that it will be in the fitness of things that the petitioner be directed to appear before the Trial Court on or before 30th of November, 2022. On his doing so, in case he makes a prayer for admission on bail, the same shall be considered and finally decided by the Court concerned within 7 days thereafter in accordance with law.

Petition stands disposed off accordingly.
