IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-54757-2021 Date of decision : December 31, 2021 YADVINDER SINGH ALIAS BAKKHA .....Petitioners

Versus

THE STATE OF HARYANA ....Respondents CORAM:- HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE LISA GILL

Present:

Mr. H.S. Sullar, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. Hitesh Pandit, Addl.AG, Haryana.

*** LISA GILL, J.

Prayer in this petition is for grant of interim bail for fifteen (15) days to the petitioner in FIR No. 510 dated 08.09.2021 under Sections 148, 149, 323, 324, 302, 307 IPC and Sections 25, 54, 59 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Kaithal City, District Kaithal, on the ground that petitioner's niece (sister's daughter) is getting married on 02.01.2022 i.e. date after tomorrow. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, I do not find any ground to interfere for grant of interim bail to the petitioner, at this stage, as this petition has been filed at a much later stage. This petition has come up for hearing today on 31.12.2021 (Friday) and the marriage is stated to be scheduled for 02.01.2022.

There is not a whisper in the petition as to when the date of marriage of petitioner's niece was fixed and no reason for filing this petition at the eleventh hour is forthcoming. Respondent - State would be unable to even verify the facts in this matter and it is not possible to afford any kind of benefit to the petitioner without verification. Present petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
