The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus hence directing respondents No. 2 and 3 to give protection to the life and liberty of the petitioners, and also against any interference in the peaceful life of the petitioners being made at the behest of respondents No. 4 and 5. 2.

However, in view of the contentions, as carried in paragraph 3 of the reply on affidavit, paragraph whereof stands extracted hereinafter, the petition does not survive, and, it is ordered to be withdrawn. "That it is humbly submitted that in compliance of the order passed by this Hon'ble High Court, the direction has been issued to deponent and SHO Police Station Dinanagar by the Sr. Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur (respondent No. 2) to provide the security to the peritonitis. SHO Police Station Dinanagar submitted his report that the petitioner No. 2 has got recorded his statement before ASI Vaishno Dass of Police Station Dinanagar that he does not require any police protection. CRWP No. 12418 of 2021 -2there is no threat from the respondents No. 4 to 5 (mother and father of the petitioner No. 2). It is also stated that his wife (petitioner No. 1) is studying (ILETS) at Bathinda and residing her parental home at Moga. The true translated statement of petitioner No. 2 is annexed herewith as Annexure R-1/T." 3.

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
