This is a criminal writ petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of the private respondents and not to interfere in the life of petitioners at behest of the private respondents and other relatives and friends.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that there is no apprehension to the life and liberty of the petitioners and, thus, they do not seek to press the present petition at this stage. In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the present petition is disposed of as not pressed at this stage. However, in case the petitioners have any apprehension to their life and liberty, then they can move a representation to respondent No.2SSP, Malerkotla detailing the said facts and respondent No.2 after RENU 2022.01.11 10:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
