Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for issuing directions to the respondents to grant benefit of judgment rendered in CWP No. 26506 of 2014, decided on 23.12.2014 (P-3) and consequently to pay the salary of petitioner. At the outset, learned counsel on instructions from petitioner submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his client would be satisfied in case his representation dated 27.07.2020 (P-7) pending with the respondents, is decided expeditiously. Notice of motion to the aforesaid limited extent. On asking of the Court, Ms. Lavanya Paul, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent(s)-State and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioner.

In view of the above, but without expressing any opinion on merits of the claim of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed off with direction to respondents to consider and decide the above representation as per law, within four (04) weeks from receipt of certified copy of this order.
