(Oral) This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and appoint the petitioners against the post of Art & Crafts Teacher issued vide advertisement No.06/2006 dated 20.07.2006, Annexure P-1, and grant them all the consequential benefits with effect from the date other selected candidates stand selected and appointed alongwith interest at the rate of eighteen per cent per annum.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that grievance raised herein is pending for appropriate decision before the respondents. At this stage, the petitioners will be satisfied in case respondent No.2 is directed to PAYAL 2023.11.03 17:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

Mr. Ravinder Singh Budhwar, Addl. AG, Haryana, appearing on advance notice, submits that the pending legal notice shall be decided by respondent No.2 expeditiously.

In view thereof, without going into merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2/Director of Elementary Education, Haryana, to consider and decide the pending legal notice dated 17.12.2022, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.

In case the order is not passed within the stipulated period, the officer concerned shall pay costs of ₹25,000 to the petitioners.
