PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 8.

As per the petitioners, after filing of the present petition, they performed Nikah on 08.10.2023. This fact has also been admitted by their Counsel Mr. Aruz Khan, Advocate.

The petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon their Aadhar Cards indicating that petitioner No.1-Reshma is 28.02.1998 born and petitioner No.2-Mohammad Rsasul is 01.01.1989 born.

Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage (Nikah), I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 (Sr. Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur) to look into the representation dated Deepak Kumar 2023.10.11 18:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No.4 to 8 in his presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably. 6.
The petition stands disposed off.
