Through the instant petition under Section 438 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.188 dated 30.09.2022, registered under Sections 498-A, 34 of IPC at Police Station Sadar, District Sri Muktsar Sahib.

As per report received from the Mediation and Conciliation Centre the parties could not reach at any amicable settlement despite its efforts. Vide order dated 22.11.2022, the petitioner had been directed to join the investigation. 3.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Ashok Kumar states that the petitioner has since joined the investigation and he is not required for custodial interrogation. Even challan has been presented and charges have been framed against the petitioner.

In view of the said facts, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 22.11.2022 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
