The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to release differential amount of salary for the period from 09.11.2018 to 30.01.2022 along with interest.

The petitioners were shifted from SPOs to Punjab Home Guards. As per letter dated 09.11.2018 of Director General of Police, Punjab, daily wage of SPO is Rs. 310/- per day whereas of a Home Guard it is Rs. 1029.68/- per day. The petitioners pursuant to order dated 02.12.2024 passed by this Court in CWP No. 32499 of 2024 have been awarded per day salary of Rs. 310/- instead of Rs. 1029.68/- per day. Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab submits that petitioners have not challenged the speaking order passed by respondent, thus, petition is not maintainable.

Faced with this, counsel for the petitioners states that the instant petition may be dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to file afresh with better particulars.
