Seeking issuance of appropriate directions to the respondents to release the petitioner on parole for 08 weeks in the FIR captioned above, the petitioner has come up before this court by filing the present petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India.

Petitioner's counsel submits that petitioner seeks parole to take care of his ailing father, for a period of eight weeks. He further submits that the application in this regard is already pending before the Superintendent Central Jail, Ludhiana, which is annexed here as Annexure P-1.

Counsel for the State submits that they have no objection if any direction is given to decide the Annexure P-1.

Given above, petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned Jail Superintendent to decide the application of petitioner's parole within a week from today. It is clarified that order so passed should be speaking and reasoned.
