This is a petition under Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for willful disobedience of order dated 22.08.2023 passed in CM-12138-CWP-2023 and CM-12139-CWP-2023 filed in CWP-6145-2022. 2.

Learned counsel for the respondents has handed over a copy of the order dated 28.05.2024 passed in CM-5749-CWP-2024 and CM-5750CWP-2024 filed in CWP-6145-2022, wherein the following order was passed: " Learned counsel for the applicant-petitioners submits that mediation between the parties has failed. In terms of the judgment passed by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in Gopinath and another vs. Harischandra (D) by Lrs. and others, (2019) 16 SCC 245, wherein only 6 months salary as compensation was granted, he on instructions states that they are ready to pay salary for 8 months as last drawn and in case the decision with regard to DA pending JITENDER KUMAR 2025.08.22 10:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

COCP-3020-2023 -2before this Court comes in favour of the respondents, the same shall also be paid.

Learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2 is not agreeable to accept the above.

Having heard the learned counsel, the execution proceedings are stayed, subject to deposit of the amount before the Registrar General of this Court within a period of two weeks.

Application stands disposed of."

Learned counsel for the respondents' states that the order dated 22.08.2023 stands modified hence no contempt is made out. 4.

Per contra the learned counsel for the petitioners' states that the order dated 28.05.2024 has been challenged before the LPA Bench by filing LPA-1468-2024 in which notice of motion has been issued vide order dated 01.07.2024.

In view of the modification of the order dated 22.08.2023, no contempt is made out at this stage. The present petition is disposed off. Rule stands discharged.
