***** HARSH BUNGER J. (ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondent No.2 to renew/reissue the passport of the petitioner.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the instant writ petition, the petitioner has received a letter dated 11.07.2025 followed by a reminder dated 17.09.2025, whereby certain clarifications have been sought from the petitioner in respect of the cases registered against him.

2.1 Learned counsel for the petitioner prays that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to respond to HIMANI GUPTA 2025.09.30 10:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document the said letters, however, he submits that appropriate directions be issued to

the respondent- passport authorities to consider and decide the application for issuance of the passport, submitted by the petitioner, in a time bound manner. 3.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that in case, the petitioner responds to letter dated 11.07.2025 and submits the requisite information/clarifications/documents, the application for issuance of the passport, submitted by the petitioner, would be considered and final decision thereon would be taken by the competent authority/passport authorities within a period of eight weeks from the date when such information/clarification and/or the documents are supplied by the petitioner. 4.

Keeping in view the aforesaid submissions made by learned counsel for the respective parties, the present petition is disposed of accordingly.
