The challenge has been made in the main appeal to an award dated 27.11.2015 arising out of the reference filed under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, at the instance of applicant/land-owners seeking enhancement of compensation.

Learned State counsel has brought to my notice that the Government on reconsideration of the matter has already de-notified the land in question from acquisition and the same has been returned to the landowners vide Notification dated 03.08.2018. 3.

Keeping in view the aforesaid fact, present appeal has been rendered infructuous and disposed of as such. However, learned counsel for the applicants/appellants shall be at liberty to file an application for its revival in case the de-notification is set aside.
