(Oral) The substantive prayer made in the instant petition reads as follows :- "It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that the present petition may kindly be allowed and FIR No.308, dated 02.10.2014, under Sections 406, 498-A IPC Police Station Zirakpur, District SAS Nagar Mohali, (Annexure P-3) as well as other consequential proceedings arising out of the FIR may kindly be quashed as the same are abuse of process of law as well as causing a grave miscarriage of justice to the petitioner, OR in alternative manner, the Learned Trial Court be directed to decide the case in a time bound manner in the interest of justice."

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at this stage, has restricted his prayer to the effect that a direction be issued to the trial Court for expeditious conclusion of the trial as the FIR in question was registered on 02.10.2014.
