This is a petition seeking transfer of proceedings initiated by husband-respondent under section 13 of the Ac t from the court at Jhajjar to Sonepat. It is urged before the court that the wife initiated proceedings under the Domestic Violence Act at Sonepat which are prior in time. An FIR has also been lodged by her before the police at Gohana under section 498-A IPC. Besides, petitioner is unemployed and would face financial hardship in defending the case at Jhajjar.

Keeping in view aforesaid contentions, facts and circumstances of the case, it is directed that proceedings under section 13 of the Act be transferred from Jhajjar to a court of coordinate jurisdiction at Sonepat.
