(ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus in the form of directions to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners being similarly situated to the set of employees who approached this Court in a bunch of writ petitions which were decided by this Court vide order dated 03.02.2020 in Satnam Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others in CWP No. 20409 of 2015 and other set of employees who approached this Court in CWP No. 4249 of 2021 (O&M) Jaspal Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others decided on 23.02.2021.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as mentioned above, but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the respondents shall decide the claim of the petitioners in the light of the observations and directions made by this Court in Satnam Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others in CWP No. 20409 of 2015 decided vide order dated 03.02.2020 and CWP No. 4249 of 2021 (O&M) Jaspal Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others decided on 23.02.2021 within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
