**** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) This is a petition seeking transfer of proceedings initiated by the respondent-husband under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (for short 'the Act') from the court at Indri, District Karnal to Patiala. It is urged before the court that the distance between the two places is about 150 Kms. Certain litigation is already pending at Patiala. Besides, applicant has a minor child to look after and she is unemployed and dependent upon parents. Thus, it would be difficult for the applicant-wife to defend the proceedings at Karnal.

Keeping in view facts and circumstances of the case, it is directed that proceedings under Section 9 of the Act at Indri, District Karnal, be transferred to a court of co-ordinate jurisdiction at Patiala. The petition is allowed in these terms.
