(Oral) This is a petition under Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure for transfer of proceedings initiated by the respondent-husband under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (for short 'the Act') from Yamunanagar to Panchkula.

Respondent remains unrepresented despite service. It is urged before the court that certain proceedings are already pending at Panchkula. Besides, applicant is living with her parents and has a minor child to look after. Husband of the applicant is in Government job. Applicant being a woman may not be able to effectively defend the proceedings at Yamunanagar.

Under the circumstances, the present petition is allowed. It is directed that proceedings under Section 9 of the Act at Yamunanagar, be transferred to a court of co-ordinate jurisdiction at Panchkula.
