The present petition has been filed for directions to the respondents No.2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty from respondent No.4.

Notice of motion to the respondents No.1 to 3 only. 3.

Since advance notice has already been served upon the State, Mr. Eklavya Darshi, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3 and waives service. 4.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were running business in collaboration with their relative, namely Fahad Ahmad Shah. When they failed in business, respondent No.4-Fahad Ahmad Shah started demanding money in excess. The above said person started trespassing the house of petitioners on number of occasions with a motive to disturb them. Criminal Writ Petition No. 8631 of 2025 a false complaint against the petitioners with an intention to implicate them in a criminal case. Thereafter, the petitioner filed representation dated 27.07.2025 (Annexure P1) before the respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla. According to petitioners, no action has been taken as yet. The learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that a direction for disposing of the representation of the petitioners (Annexure P1) be given to the concerned authorities and the instant writ petition be disposed of.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to pass a speaking order and decide the representation of the petitioner (Annexure P1), as per law, within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is, however, made clear that no finding with regard to merits of the allegations is being recorded vide instant order, and the police authorities shall be at liberty to take an independent decision with regard to contents of the representation.
