IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH (110) CRM-M-49213-2023 Date of Decision:-12.02.2024 Mohan Singh ......Petitioner

Versus

State of Punjab and others ......Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ALOK JAIN ****

Present:

Mr. Manthan Pathania, Advocate for Mr. Bikramjit Singh Bajwa, Advocate for the petitioner.

Mr. Siddharth Attri, AAG, Punjab.

**** ALOK JAIN, J. (Oral) 1.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has vehemently argued that the petitioner is being made a scapegoat in a litigation between Jaswinder Singh on one side and daughters of late Aatma Singh on the other side and both the sides are pressurizing him.

2.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner at length but I do not find any apparent threat perception to the life and liberty of the petitioner or to pass any order for protection of his life and liberty. However, the ends of justice would be met if respondent No. 3 is directed to record the statement of the petitioner as well as respondents No. 4 to 8 that they shall maintain peace and harmony and shall not pressurize each other in any manner whatsoever.

PARUL 2024.02.15 12:40 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document 3.

Ordered accordingly.

2024:PHHC:018970 CRM-M-49213-2023 -24.

In light of the above, the present petition stands disposed of. 5.

However, this order shall not be construed in any civil litigation and shall have no bearing on the testimonies already submitted by the petitioner.
