The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent Nos. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, who got married on 20.09.2023 at the hands of private respondents.

The petitioners are present in person and have fairly submitted that after filing of the present petition, they have informed their parents. Initially, the parents of petitioner No. 1 did not agree, however, now they have accepted their marriage.

I have gone through the case file and perused the record. 5.
Considering the nature of the order being passed, there is no necessity to serve the respondents or to seek a reply from any one of the respondents.

In light of the above and considering the averments made in the petition, the present petition stands disposed of. 7.
However, this order shall not operate as any alibi or defence to any proceedings which might be pending or may arise against the petitioners. Although, the State is duty bound to protect its citizens and only with the said motive, the present order/directions have been passed. 8.
However, the petitioners are at liberty to approach this Court by moving an appropriate application, in case, any grievance still subsists after approaching the respondent-authorities, who shall look into the same in accordance with law.
