The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to respondent Nos.2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent Nos.4 & 5. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide her representation dated 07.11.2022, Annexure P-3 submitted by her. 3.
Notice of motion.

Mr. Manipal Singh Atwal, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State and has no objection to the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the representation of the petitioner dated 07.11.2022, Annexure P-3 and if any threat perception is found, to take appropriate action in accordance with law Ankur Goyal 2023.10.16 16:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

It is however, made clear that this order shall not preclude the authorities to proceed against the petitioner, in case, she is found involved in any other criminal proceedings, instituted/pending against her if there is some evidence that surfaces regarding her involvement in a cognizable offence, for which she may be required by the investigating agency.
