**** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) This is a petition seeking transfer of proceedings initiated by husband-respondent under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, (for short 'the Act') from the court at Muktsar to Bathinda. It is urged before the court that some litigation is already pending at Bathinda. Petitioner has a 07 year old child to look after. She is facing financial hardship and it would be difficult for her to defend the proceedings pending at Muktsar.

Respondent remains unrepresented despite service. Keeping in view facts and circumstances of the case, it is directed that proceedings under Section 9 of the Act at Muktsar be transferred to a court of co-ordinate jurisdiction at Bathinda. The petition is allowed in these terms.
