(Oral) This is a petition seeking transfer of proceedings initiated by husband-respondent under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, (for short 'the Act') from the court at Jalandhar to Karnal. It is urged before the court that certain litigation is already pending at Karnal. Besides, the distance between the two places is more than 150 Kms. The applicant is solely dependant on her parents and has financial constraints. It would be difficult for her to defend the proceedings pending at Jalandhar.

Keeping in view facts and circumstances of the case, it is directed that proceedings under Section 9 of the Act at Jalandhar be transferred to a court of co-ordinate jurisdiction at Karnal.
