**** Karamjit Singh, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 for grant of anticipatory bail in a criminal case having FIR No.197 dated 21.08.2024 under Section 406, 420 IPC and Section 13 of Punjab Travel Professionals (Regulation) Act, 2014 registered at Police Station Rama Mandi, District Jalandhar City. 2.

Vide order dated 19.09.2024, this Court granted interim bail to the present petitioner with direction to join investigation with the police, on the ground that no part of the disputed amount had gone to the bank account of the present petitioner and most of the transactions detailed in the FIR were between complainant and co-accused Jatinder Singh.

Today, counsel appearing for the petitioner apprised the Court that by virtue of aforesaid order, petitioner has joined the SONIA BURA 2025.01.24 12:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

State counsel, on instructions from ASI Vipin Kumar, has not refuted the aforesaid assertions made by the counsel for the petitioner and further submits that the petitioner is not required for the purpose of further investigation or custodial interrogation by the police. 5.

In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and order of interim bail dated 19.09.2024 is hereby made absolute subject to the conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023.
