Gurpreet Kaur v. Rupinder Singh
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH T.A. No. 485 of 2016 Date of decision : 11.07.2016 Gurpreet Kaur ....Petitioner V/s Rupinder Singh ....Respondent BEFORE : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA
Present:
Mr. Sukhmeet Singh, Advocate for the petitioner. RAJAN GUPTA J.
It appears that petition under section 13 of the Act has been filed at Ludhiana by respondent-husband seeking divorce from the petitioner. Petitioner is residing at Moga. It has been urged that it is much more convenient for the petitioner who is a woman to defend the proceedings in case same are transferred to Moga. However, I do not find any ground to accept this plea as distance between Ludhiana and Moga is not much and are situated on the highway. It is, however, directed that husband shall bear the expenses as and when petitioner has to travel to Ludhiana for the purpose of pursuing the divorce petition. Same are quantified as `5,000/- for the date as she may require to travel. This court is conscious of the fact that order is being passed without notice to the respondent to obviate delay in the case as no other question requiring adjudication is involved. Disposed of.
