**** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) This is a petition seeking transfer of proceedings initiated by husband-respondent under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, (for short 'the Act') from the court at Jagadhri to Derabassi, District SAS Nagar, Punjab.

It is urged before the court that certain litigation is already pending at Derabassi. Besides, applicant-wife is residing with parents. She has two minor daughters to look after. Thus, it would be difficult for the applicant-wife to effectively defend the proceedings at Jagadhri. Respondent remains unrepresented despite service. Keeping in view facts and circumstances of the case, it is directed that proceedings under Section 9 of the Act at Jagadhri be transferred to a court of co-ordinate jurisdiction at Derabassi, District SAS Nagar, Punjab.

The petition is allowed in these terms.
