RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of direction to respondent No.4 to release the detenue, namely, Jaspreet Kaur, daughter of the petitioners with immediate effect from its detention/custody and hand over her custody to the petitioners being her natural guardian.

Notice of motion to official respondents only at this stage. On asking of the Court, Mr.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr.DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State and submits that pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 18.09.2024, the detenue is present in Court alongwith ASI Narender Singh. The Court has interacted with the detenue and she has apprised the Court that she wants to go with her parents, i.e. the petitioners. In view of the statement made by the detenue, present petition is disposed of. Respondents/State is directed to send the detenue with the petitioners from the Court itself.
